Marcia J (Hornicak) Verardi

Marcia J. Verardi, age 80 of Shalersville, passed away on March 30, 2018 at home with her family at her side. Marcia was born October 7, 1937 in Vandergrift, PA to the late Joseph and Katherine (Bernat) Hornicak. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Mantua, the Ravenna Senior Center and the Red Hat Club. Marcia worked as a secretary for Greyhound Bus, Wenham Trucking and Alltel. She is survived by her son Greg (Shannon) Milam, grandchildren Devin and Darian, sister Sylvia Dobbins, brother Timothy Hornicak and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chuck in September of 2017 and son Mark Verardi in 1978. A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mantua with Father Ed Stafford officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
