Margaret A. (Basinais) Mix

Margaret A. Mix 90, a resident of Deerfield since 1946, died Friday, June 29, 2012. She was born September 2, 1921 in Cleveland, OH to the late Frank and Anna Marie (Grimm) Basinais. Margaret was a 50 year member of the Deerfield Methodist Church, a member of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Deerfield Dandies and the Deerfield Senior Citizens. She had worked as a draftsman for Ohio Edison, an inspector for the Ravenna Arsenal and as a machine adjuster for GE. Survivors include her sons David Allen (Becky) Mix of Ravenna and Russell Elton (Kelly) Mix of Deerfield, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Doris (Jessie, Jr) Carver of Deerfield, sister in law Chloe Basinais of Deerfield and brother in law Delbert (Darlene) Mix. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert in 2001, son Fredrick A. Mix and brothers Kenneth and Frank Basinais, Jr. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, July 6, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Don Booth and Robert A. Mix officiating. Burial will follow in Deerfield Cemetery.
