Margaret A. (Bednar) Bosko

Margaret (Margarita) Ann Bosko 97 of Rootstown passed away Saturday February 27, 2016 at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born November 14, 1918 in New Mine, PA to the late Joseph and Margarita (Murcko)  Bednar.  Mrs. Bosko has lived in Rootstown most of her life on her family farm and retired from Kent State University in 1989.  She was a member of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore, Ohio.  Survivors include her sons John (Betty) Bosko of Johnstown, Ohio, David Bosko of Rootstown, her daughters Patricia (Peter) Starkey of Scottsdale, AZ.,  Shirley (Phil) Bosko of Amelia Island, Florida, her grandchildren John Harris Bosko, Kimberly Ann Bosko, Patricia (Ron) Saillant, Col. David (Jennifer) Bosko,  her great grandchildren Brianna, Mallory, Spencer, Gillian, Jacob, Christopher, Evelyn  and  great-great grandchildren  Harley Anne, Jacob, Jr., Prudence Diane, Sutton Olivia.  She is also survived by her sisters Rose Lutz, Agnes Dobrilovic and sister in law Edith Bednar.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John L. Bosko in 1991 after 60 years of marriage, her siblings Mary Maydak, Helen Rickard, Joseph Bednar, John Bender, George and William Bednar and daughter in law Kimberly Jones Bosko.  Calling hours will be Thursday March 3, 2016 from 5 pm until time of funeral services at 7 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where  Panikhida (Memorial) services will be 10:00 Am Friday March 4, 2016 with burial  to follow in Homeland Cemetery Rootstown, Ohio.  A special thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Woodlands at Robinson and the Crossroads Hospice.
