Margaret A (Graff) Bayley

Margaret A. Bayley, 81, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 22, 2025, due to frontotemporal dementia.  She was born June 26, 1943, to the late Robert and Maude (Hoatling) Graff.  Margaret lived most of her life in Ravenna, and retired as an Escrow Officer at Title Professionals.  She enjoyed baking, sewing, and traveling; especially cruising with her husband.  She also liked fishing & boating on Lake Erie.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles (Barbara) Graff and Nancy (Larry) Ferrell.  Survivors include her husband of 61 years, David E. Bayley, whom she married December 13, 1963, her daughters Janice L. Bayley and Chris (Steven) Retherford, her granddaughter, Elyse (Ryan) McBride, all of Ravenna, and grandson, Luke (Allison Kaper) Retherford of Anchorage, AK.  She is also survived by her great granddaughter and the apple of her eye, Emersyn McBride.  In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services have been held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna, Ohio.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Ravenna Elks Club (dress is casual/cruise wear).  Condolences and memories of Margaret may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Elara Caring Hospice Foundation (elaracaringhospicefoundation.org) or the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration  (theAFTD.org).
