Marie N. (Knerem) Carlson

Marie N. Carlson, 82, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 14, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Lyle and Edith (Froelich) Knerem. Marie was a resident of Maple Heights, Ohio for many years. She moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2002 with Walter Carlson (deceased), where they married. Marie worked in the seafood department at Publix in Lakeland, the best seafood display in Florida! She was known for her witty, stubborn,  sarcastic, but caring personality, as well as her love for chocolate and Lay's potato chips. Marie is survived by her two daughter's,  Cheryl (Robert) Carson and Tracy (Anthony, Sr.) Jackson. She had six siblings; Bill Knerem, Nancy Zelasko (Edward, deceased), Ralph Knerem (deceased), Richard Knerem (Kathy), Keith Knerem (Chris) and Keary Knerem (Elaine). Marie is survived by grandchildren; Brittany Hernandez, Joseph Carson, Treyah Gray, Alexis Jackson, and Anthony Jackson Jr. and great grandchildren; Eva, Axel, Jayline, and Zayla. She had an abundance of nieces and nephews and she will be missed by so many. Cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
