Marilyn E Mayle

Marilyn E. Mayle, 74 of Ravenna, passed away Thursday July 2, 2026 at the Reserve Care Hospice in Medina, Ohio. On July 29, 1952, she was born in Alliance, Ohio to the late Everett and Josephine (Blaylock) Steed. Living in Ravenna most of her life, Marilyn had retired from the Chrysler Corp in Twinsburg where she worked as a spot welder and after being a lifetime member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church she was attending the Home Lighthouse Community Church in Akron where nephew serves as the pastor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael E. Mayle in 2021, her daughter Teresa Vanhorn in 2022 and siblings Donna Kulon, Carolyn McElwain and Donald Steel. Survivors include her daughter Tammy (Bob) Miller, her grandchildren Tracy Vanhorn, Chad Vanhorn, Ashley Vanhorn, her great grandchildren Elaina Morris, Genesis "Sissy" Coppa, Nathaniel Grove, Dakoldes Edding and siblings Joyce Jones, Lyle David Steed and Marsha Thomas. Calling hours will be Wednesday July 8, 2026 from 12 PM until time of funeral services at 1:00PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Matthew Brode officiating.
