His enduring love for his family was truly his lifelong mission. Joe and Joan treasured gatherings at their home for family and friends. He also passionately loved nature. His garden, trees, and yard were true sanctuaries for birds and nature to thrive. He loved sharing his vegetables, fruit, plant starters, and gardening knowledge with family and friends. He was also an avid fan of all sports. He especially enjoyed cheering on the Ravens, but he often ventured, with Joan, throughout Portage County to watch so many grandchildren in their sports. Joe’s family would like to thank the staff of The Gardens of Liberty Park in Streetsboro for providing their loving care for the past four years. His family would also like to thank the staff of the Fresenius Streetsboro Dialysis Center for their loving care for the past four years. His family would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their recent care. Joe and Joan were true servants to so many friends and neighbors in Ravenna and he would compassionately support, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to The Center of Hope, 1081 West Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:00 and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 West Main Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
