Marion K. (Sampson) Desimio

Marion K. DeSimio 89 of Ravenna died Saturday, December 3, 2011. She was born November 30, 1922 in Ravenna to William and Katherine (Wiesz) Sampson. Marion was a  lifelong Ravenna resident, member of Immaculate Conception Church and worked at the arsenal during the war as a Rosie the Riveter. Survivors include her sons David (Vivian) DeSimio of Atwater and Richard (Kathleen) DeSimio of Ravenna, grandchildren Jodi, David E., Chad and Megan and great grandchildren Curtis, Marjorie Nicole, Jordan, Samantha Ann, Ciara, Jacob David, Sydney, Brent, Abigail and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis, son Robert and brother Bernard Sampson. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Decemebr 7, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church  in Ravenna with Father John Michael Lavelle officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Rosie's Rescue of Immaculate Conception Church.
