Marjorie Catherine (Cress) Slane

Marjorie Catherine "Midge" Slane, 91, of Streetsboro, passed away on
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Robinson Memorial Hospital.She was born on
September 26, 1920 in Bucyrus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Cecil and Catherine
(Haspeslagh) Cress. Midge was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in
Canton and was a Floral Arranger for most of her life. She is survived by her sons,
David (Linda) Slane of Streetsboro and Thomas (Julie) Slane of Chicago, Illinois; two granddaughters, Chrystina (Jeremy) Carney of California and Pamela Slane of Chicago; two great
grandchildren, Alexander and Katarina Carney; and brother, Frederick "Fritz"Cress of Lima, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Midge was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Slane and sister, Carol Irene Hardy. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus, Ohio.
