Marjorie L (Sprott) Pagan

Marjorie L. Pagan 94 of Ravenna passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center. She was born 1927 in Ravenna, Ohio to James Fred and Elsie (Cooper) Sprott. A lifelong resident of Ravenna, Marjorie was a 1944 graduate of Ravenna Township High School. She graduated from Kent State University in 1948 where she majored in music and minored in English. In 1978 she returned to Kent, earning a certification in music education. She served as organist and choir director of Immaculate Conception Church for 35 years and worked at Kent State as an administrative assistant in the department of Classical Studies for 15 years. Survivors include her children Commander John R. Pagan, USN Retired (Michele); Marcos A. Pagan (Molly); Michael A. Pagan (Julie), Mary C. Byers (Michael); Victoria E. Pagan-Wolpert (Andrew); Julia M. Hamm (Matthew), 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ricardo in 1996 and brothers Harold Sprott and Donald "Dick" Sprott. Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna.
