Mark Allen Jacobs

Mark Allen Jacobs 72, of Ravenna, formerly of Mantua, died Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born September 16, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Randolph and Blanche (Schreiber) Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs was a US Army veteran, member of the Assembly of God in Ravenna, and retired from Kent State University where he was a boilerman. He was a 1958 graduate of Crestwood High School and earned all PCL in basketball while at Crestwood. He was a kind and generous person who always had a smile. Survivors include his wife of 46 years Nancy (Flowers), daughter Amy (Matt) Michael of Ravenna, his pride and joy grandchildren Gage Matthew and Shane Jacob Michael, sister Lois Hart of Mt. Pleasant, SC and brothers Dr. James (Mary) Jacobs of Wisconsin and Dan (Eleanor) Jacobs of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Paul and David Jacobs. Calling hours will be from 4 7 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 and 10 AM to time of service at 11 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend Gary Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association
