Martha I. (Nething) Kehner

Martha Irene Kehner, 88 of Ravenna , went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday February 1, 2012. She was born in Charlestown Twp. on October 23, 1923 to the late Fred and Grace (Kropp) Nething. She graduated from Ravenna Twp. Schools in 1941, has been a lifelong Ravenna resident and for the past six months, she reside at Country Elegance in Edinburg under the loving care of Terry Montz and his staff. She enjoyed growing African violets and other houseplants, quilting with the ladies at the First Church of God in Ravenna on Tuesday mornings and reading her Bible. She attended the First Church of God and was interested in missions and missionary work. Survivors include her four sons, Bill (Barb) of Washington, Paul of Texas, Larry (Diane) of Randolph, David (Debbie) of North Canton, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, brothers , Frank, Fred, Phil Nothing and sister Evie Reese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Bernard Kehner and brothers Harold and Kenneth Nething. Calling hours will be Monday February 6, 2012 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Ed Beck officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials or donations to the Christian Cupboard in Ravenna.
