Mary D. Busher, 96, of Ravenna passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born May 19, 1915 to the late Panfilo and Ersilia (DiDonato) Caniglia. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Portage County Auditor’s Office retiring in 1982. Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and had been active in the Catholic Daughters of America, the Young at Heart and the Liberty Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, taking one-day trips with the Young at Heart and being with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Busher and Kathleen Trammel, both of Kent; sons John Jr. of Stow and Mark of Ravenna; and grandson and devoted caregiver Barry Busher. Mary is also survived by grandchildren Danny Trammel of Cuyahoga Falls, Amy (Justin) Mace of Chattanooga, Lisa (George) Farah of Las Vegas, Mark (Dea) Busher Jr. of Chattanooga, Ted Busher (Ravenna); great-granchildren Brady & Siena Farah and Lilly & Mark Busher III. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband John Joseph Busher in 1992, daughter Marilyn in 1982, sisters Amelia Damicone and Angeline Damicone, brothers Arthur and Samuel Caniglia. Calling hours will be 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father John Michael Lavelle officiating.
