Mary M. McDaniel 84 of Ravenna passed away Thursday July 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born March 30, 1926 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Raymond and Carrie (Chapman) Doak. She has been a lifelong Ravenna resident and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Ravenna, Ohio. Mary enjoyed walking, riding her bike and loved to cook. Survivors include her husband of 64 years Carl McDaniel, son Allan (Barbara) McDaniel of Ravenna, daughter Julie McDaniel, grandchildren Richard (Kim) Kale, Mindy (Brian) Taylor, Staff Sergent James N. Fueger, great grandchildren Justine Kale, Keddy Conway, Jenna Kale, Rebecca Rae McDaniel, McKenna Taylor and brothers Robert Doak of Kent and Donald Doak of Ravenna. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Diana Kale, grandson Brandan McDaniel, great granddaughter Madison Walker , brothers Eddy and Richard Doak. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday July 26, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel and from 10:00 AM until time of the Funeral at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Ravenna with Pastor Richard Skiver officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
