Mary (Dobrilovic) Dorflinger

Mary Dorflinger, 69 of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on January 16, 2023, following a long illness.  Mary was born in Ravenna and was a graduate of Ravenna High School.  Mary was a free spirit who loved the sun, the ocean and the beach where she loved looking for fossils.  She was an avid Civil War era civilian reenactor, working in two Hollywood productions as an extra.  Her first calling was in flower arranging, having received her degree from Hixson’s School – Floral Design, teaching at Maplewood Career Center and working with several local florists.  She is survived by her husband Roger of 48 years and her sisters, Anne Moneypenny, Nancy Holt and sister-in-laws Lois Hinchman, Carolyn Strausser and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Betty Dobrilovic, and her brother Paul Dobrilovic, Jr.  The family would like to thank Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home in Ravenna for their help in planning funeral arrangements.  Condolences and memories of Mary may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
