Mary "Virginia" Hale 86 of Kent, a longtime resident of Ravenna, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Sunrise Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls. She was born August 23, 1925 in Cambridge, OH to William and Daisy (Syme) Edwards. Virginia was a lifetime member of the Ravenna VFW Auxiliary, bartended for the Ravenna Eagles, was a route carrier for the Record Courier and had worked at Rotek in Streetsboro. Survivors include her daughter Vicki (Lowell) Roosa of Kent, son Chris Hale of Cuyahoga Falls, grandchildren Deana Johnston, Chad Roosa, Cliff Hale and Jaclyn Hale, great grandsons Luke and Ty, sister Vina Danford of Ravenna and sister in law Shirley Edwards of Cambridge. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Hale in 1979 and brothers Herbert and Dick Edwards. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the funeral home with Chaplain Mark Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
