Mary L. (Hassertt) Walker

Mary L. Walker went home to be with the Lord, January 18, 2011. She was born May 29, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The last of 10 children born to Edward and Angy Hassertt. She spent all other childhood in Cincinnati. She moved to Cleveland in 1947. She was joined in union with James Walker. She had 6 children. Jose (Gloria), Mark (Wanda), of Cincinnati, James (Ramona), Alfred (Teresa), and a daughter, Patricia (Madison) Davis all of Ravenna. She worked for Tasty Shop (later Diamonds Restaurant) until her retirement. After retiring she devoted her time to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3brothers, 6 sisters, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 2 great -grandsons. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 61 great-great- grandchildren. Honorary daughters, Victoria Reeves and Anita Lutrell,  and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 6 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Shorts Spcier Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday January 24, 2011 with Elder James E. Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
