Mary Ellen Hill

Mary Ellen Hill, 100, of Shalersville Township, passed away peacefuly, surrounded by family on January 10, 2026. She was born in Bowerston, Ohio on August 11, 1925 to Ralph and Franced Eichel. In 1945 she married her liftime sweetheart, Calvin Hill. Mary retired from the Crestwood School System where she was head cook and cafeteria manager. Mary is survived by her daughters Barbara Mellinger, Hazel Tackett, Gloria (Herb) Riggs, Deborah Fejedelem (Ted Sheldon), Jeanette (Ken) Stoffer, sister Carol Trianfanti, 12 gandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin, son Harold, brother Eugene and sons in law Ken Mellinger and Don Tackett. She is being layed to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, c/o Huntington Bank, PO Box 72700, Cleveland, Ohio 44192 in memory of Mary E. Hill.
