Mary (Van Houdt) Toffoli

Mary Toffoli, 88, of Streetsboro , passed away Monday November 18, 2019 at Kennsington Care Center in Aurora, Ohio.  She was born December 31, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Emil and Melanie (Beernaert) Van Houdt.  Mrs. Toffoli has lived in Streetsboro the past several years and was formerly of Lexington, Michigan.  In October of 1984, she retired after 31 years of service from the John Toffoli & Sons Cement  Contractors and also had worked as an assistant manager for the Earl Brink Insurance Agency.  She was very active in church activities such as Parish Council and the Altar Rosary Society.  In Lexington  she was a member of the Women's K of C  Auxiliary council #7255.  Survivors include her husband Joseph Toffoli whom she married July  7, 1951, her children Gary (Denise) Toffoli, Alan  J. (Karen) Toffoli, Linda (George) Buzzy, her grandchildren, Melanie, Aaron, Jordan, Nick, Brittany, her great grandchildren Lola, Penelope, Samuel, Camryn and her siblings Rick (Mary Jo) Van Houdt and Betty (Doug) Hedges.  Calling hours will be Thursday  November 21, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday November 22. 2019 10:30 Am at St. Joan of Arc Church Streetsboro, Ohio (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) with Father Christopher Luoni officiating.  Private family burial will be in Aurora City Cemetery Aurora, Ohio.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve.  Condolences and memories of Mary may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
