Mary Eleanor (Toalston) Jones

Mary Eleanor Toalston Jones of Atwater died on Jue 10th at home. She was born in March of 1939 in Carroll County,  Ohio to Edyth Saunders Toalston and Leslie B. Toalston. She graduated from Carrolton High school in early June of 1957 and two weeks later married Virgil Robert Jones.  Together they raised five children.  She was a Girl Scout and 4H leader.  After Mr Jones' death she was a care giver to several local families.

Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her husband, parents, and son Frank Jones; brothers Donald, James Marlin, and William Toalston and sister in law Rosemarie Toalston.   Left to remember her are her four children Edie (Jeff) Lackey, William Jones, Laura Francis, and Belinda Skufca; eight grand children, Daniel Lackey, Jennifer Cole, James Jones, Justin Jones, Melissa Lackey, Brooke Francis, Wylder Jones, Sarah Skufca, Nick Skufca, and Lily Jones; five great grand children, Hannah, Zeke, JJ, Jazzlynn, and Lucy; her brother John Marvin and sisters in law Evelyn Toalston,  Mary Toalston, Jean Toalston, Loretta Phillips, and Donna Huffman; and many nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be held at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral home 141 N. Meridian Street Ravenna, Ohio on Friday June 14 from  12 till 2 with graveside services following at Atwater Cemetery at 2:30. Mom loved a good pot luck dinner and a fun story.  Please come join us for one and bring a dish and a tale (tall or not) to share following the service at the Atwater Town Hall (adjacent to the cemetary).  We want to thank her hospice nurses and aids Chris, Chris, and Colleen.  They were a great source of comfort and care to both Mom and the family.  In lieu of flowers a donation to the hospice organization of your choise is requested.  And lastly as Mom always said as she hung up the phone or we walked out the door :   Be good, be careful, and behave.   And watch out for the crazies.
