Mary A. (Zana) Kovacs

Mary A. Kovacs 96 of Streetsboro passed away Saturday  August 15, 2015 at Altercare of Brimfield.  She was born April 17, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Gabor and Rose (Wargo) Zana.  Mrs. Kovacs has been a Streetsboro resident most of her life and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro.  She enjoyed baking, crocheting and was very family oriented, where she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.  Survivors include her children Jean (Stephen) Hrobak of Southington, Linda Ross of Kent, Mary (Daniel) Fridley of Cambridge and Allen (Jolene) Kovacs of Southington, 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and brother George (Barbara) Zana of Indiana.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Kovacs on August 27, 1989, siblings  Rose Fatica, Joe and Gabe Zana.  Calling hours will be Friday August 21, 2015 from 10:00 Am until time of funeral services at 11:00 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio.  The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Harbor Light Hospice 25 S.
