Matilda F. "Tillie" (Sandy) Dimauro

Matilda (Tillie) DiMauro, a life-long resident of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away on June 30, 2016 at the age of 92. Matilda was blessed with a loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, with whom she spent a wonderful life for over 67 years. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Frank DiMauro (Marilyn) of Stow, Paul DiMauro (Peg) of Ravenna and the love of her life, her grandson, Michael. Matilda worked in her earlier years at Robinson Memorial Hospital and then became a homemaker for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed many years of travel to numerous states, particularly family vacations to Florida reuniting with friends there each year. She also enjoyed a few trips back to Italy! We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for the care she was given by Active Life Care. She was always treated with respect and dignity by their awesome staff. We are very grateful for her personal caregivers, Norma Stefansic initially and for the last five years, Donna Lloyd, who became part of her family. Also special thanks to Dr. Annette Andrews and Dr. Douglas Ripkin for their warm and compassionate care. In addition, a special thanks to Crossroads Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5 , 2016 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna with Father William Kraynak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to St. Patrick’s School Fund, 127 Portage Street, Kent, OH 44240.
