Matthew A. Petrella 55 of Kent died Monday, May 11, 2015. He was born March 15, 1960 to Paul and Jane (DeLeone) Petrella, Sr. Matthew was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Kent. He loved spending time at Kent Social Services helping people. He had a lot of special friends including Dennis Ross and Alice Powell. Matt also had a special dog friend Toby who he loved dearly.
He is survived by his parents Paul and Jane Petrella, brothers Dominic Michael Petrella and Paul Joseph (Ivana) Petrella, Jr., twin sisters Ann and Darrell Guariniello (Petrella) and Laura Petrella and Edward Ruper (Petrella), and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. The family requests donations be made in Matt's memory to Kent Social Services, 1066 S. Water St., Kent, Ohio 44240. Services have been entrusted to Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
