Maureena Cafero, 81, of Ravenna passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Wyant Woods Care Center. Born February 7, 1931, she was the third of five children of Gaetano and Mary Grace (DeMaria) Chionchio.
Maureena was primarily a homemaker but also held positions as a payroll supervisor for the Portage County Auditor’s office and a bank teller at the Portage National Bank. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna and loved music.
Memories of her life will be cherished by surviving family members: husband of 61 years, Joseph; children, Claudia (Monty) Miller of Kent, Marc Cafero of Houston, TX and Mary Michael (Duke) Clay of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Camp, Kathleen (Patrick) Lynch, Joseph Woodward and Ann Miller; great grandson, Brayden Camp; sisters, Marie (Matthew) Fenn of Cleveland, Helen Visca of Kent and Shirley Taylor of Stow; brother, Guy (Linda) Chionchio of Tallmadge and 24 nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home at their Ravenna Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna with Father John Madden officiating. Her burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ravenna.
