Mechelle A Mathews-Garcia

Mechelle A. Mathews-Garcia, 53 of Warren, Ohio passed away suddenly at her home on Monday December 17, 2018.  She was born May 22, 1965 in Akron, Ohio to the late C.T. Mathews and Frances E. (Frame) Mathews.  She was a 1984 graduate from  Rootstown High School and had worked  as a home healthcare aide.  In addition to her father, C.T. Mathews, she was preceded in death by her husband Miguel Garcia in 2017 and  her son Travis Garcia in 2009.  She is survived by her mother Frances Mathews of Barboursville, WVA., her son Casey T. Garcia of Warren and siblings Bryan (Renee) Mathews of Milton, WVA and Crystal (Mike Martina) Mathews of Ravenna.  Calling hours will be from 6 PM until time of funeral services at 7:30 PM on Thursday December 20, 2018 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Private family burial will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery Warren, Ohio.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.  Condolences and memories of Mechelle may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
