Michael E. Bailey, Sr. 62 of Ravenna went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 27, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born October 23, 1954 in Akron, Ohio. He has lived in Ravenna since 1992 and was formerly of Palmyra. Michael retired in 2013 from Robinson Memorial Hospital where he worked as a surgical technician and was also well known Deejay. He was a member of the Portage Community Chapel in Ravenna. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Danette (Welsh) Bailey, his children Dawn Marie (Andy) Milby, Michael (Haley) Bailey, his granddaughter Rome Aria Milby and sisters Michelle Miller, Leslie "Maria" Costello and 22 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Bailey, his brother Joe Bailey and his sister Carmen Harshman. Calling hours will be Monday July 31, 2017 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Portage Community Chapel 6490 St Rt 14 Ravenna, Ohio where funeral services will be Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Barry Shahan and Pastor Mark Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow in West Cemetery Palmyra, Ohio.
