Michael A. Chebra, Sr. 95 of Streetsboro passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at Akron City Hospital.  He was born September 29, 1919 in Fairport, OH to the late John and Anna (Mitchko) Chebra. He served with the US Army during WWII. Mike was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. He was a avid fisherman and outdoorsman all his life.  He spent many summers volunteering with the National Parks System building  and doing repairs on the Appalachian Trail and in Alaska.  Mike and his 'walking buddies' spent many wonderful mornings at Sunny Lake Park walking, enjoying friends and the beautiful outdoors.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Anne Chebra (Chervenak), his children, Janet Huter of Mantua, Michael Chebra, Jr. (Janice) of Kent, Mark Chebra of Bedford, his cherished grandchildren, Nicole (David) Opfer of Dayton, Andrea (Randall) Brunswick of Hudson, James Huter (Brian) of Katy, Texas, Kimberly Huter of Brunswick, great-grandchildren, Arthur, Annika, and Brandon.  There will be no calling hours. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 11, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc in Streetsboro.  The family will hold a private burial service at a later date.  Donations in his name may be made to the Aurora Park District, Commemorative Bench Program, 130 S. Chillicothe  Rd., Aurora 44202.
