Michael J Matta

Michael J. Matta 56 of Norton, formerly of Streetsboro, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Akron City Hospital. He was born December 6, 1964 in Ravenna, Ohio to Steve and Wanda Jean (Lawson) Matta. Michael was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish in Barberton and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for Elixir Pharmacy in Twinsburg. Survivors include his children Michael A. Matta, Tristan Matta and Jessica Matta, 4 grandchildren and siblings Steve Matta, George Matta, Christine Johnson, Andrew Matta and Timothy Matta. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings John Matta, Barbara Powell and Patricia Matta. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, November 12, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 11 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Joan of Arc Church with Father Chris Luoni officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
