Mildred Dorothy (Winkler) Frinkley

Mildred Dorothy Frinkley, 92, of Ravenna, formerly of Kent, passed away on Sunday , June 3, 2012 at Longmeadow Care Center. She was born December 27, 1919 in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Everett and Ella (Suter) Winkler. Mildred was a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna. She retired from Kent State University, where  she was a cook. Mildred also worked as a mail carrier for the Ravenna Post Office. She is survived by her son, Jim T. Dickson, Jr. of Ravenna; three grandchildren, Stephanie Dickson of Ravenna and Jeff and Scott Kernen of Newton Falls; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Dale D. Kernen, Jr. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Kernen; second husband, James Dickson, Sr., and third husband, Boyd Frinkley; son Dale D. Kernen, Sr.; and sister, Alma Rufener. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 12PM until the 2PM service at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Rev. Perry Mattern will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. A special Thank You to the staff of Longmeadow Care Center for their care and support.
