Mona Jean (Webb) Bergold

September 26, 1925 — November 21, 2010

Mona Jean Bergold 85 of Streetsboro died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 26, 1925 in Northfield, Ohio to the late Lloyd W. and Hattie V. (Wright) Webb. Jean was a 1943 graduate of Ravenna High School and attended Boheckers Business College. In 1961 she moved to Shaker Heights, joined Heights Christian Church and began working as a surgical nurse at St. Lukes Hospital in Cleveland , in 1963 she went to work for Dr. R.L.Ruggles as a surgical and office nurse. In 1978 she graduated from Cleveland State University with a BA in Psychology and retired from nursing. She was a member of the eastern star and had served in the cadet nursing corp. After spending time in Marion, SC she moved to Streetsboro in 2008. Survivors include her husband George F. Bergold, step-daughters Susan B. (Ray) Kaiser of Streetsboro and Kathleen B. Griebel of Copley, stepson Michael L. (Karen) Bergold of Sagamore Hills , step-grandchildren Nicholas (Jennifer) Funaro and Christine Funaro, step-great grandchild Colt Andrew and niece Michelle (Walter) Chenchik of Hiram. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Willard Armitage. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at
Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland with Rev. Roger Osgood officiating.
