Naldo A. Bernardo

Naldo A. Bernardo “Pops”, age 82, of Streetsboro, entered into Heaven on Friday March 31st 2017. Naldo was born on October 14, 1934 in Colle d’Anchise,  Italy to Nicolina and Filomeno GiovanBattista  Bernardo. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 32, where he spent 33 years before moving to Streetsboro, Ohio where he spent the past 17 years.  He was a member of St. Joan of Arc.  Pops loved a great party, especially his pig roast. He enjoyed watching bocce games, making sausage, making wine, drinking wine, hunting, fishing, and tailgating. He took great pride in his garden. On Monday and Tuesday nights you would find him sitting in front of the T.V. watching WWE wrestling. His greatest love was spending time his family. He never wanted to miss his granddaughters’ soccer games, band concerts, school concerts or any event that involved them. His granddaughters loved and adored him. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rev. Antonio Bernardo of Rome Italy and his faithful dog Max. Naldo is survived by his daughter, Nina “ Nicolin” of Rome Italy, his son Giovanni ( Tammy) of Streetsboro, his granddaughters Adrianna, Sofia and Olivia, brother Mario of Australia, his former spouse Matilda (Tom) Hill and his faithful dog Mico. Calling Hours will be Thursday April 6th 2017 5p.m. – 8p.m.  at Shorts  Spicer Crislip  Funeral Homes’ Streetsboro Chapel  9781 Page Rd Streetsboro, Ohio . Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 7th 2017 10:00a.m. at St. Joan of Arc  8894 St. Rt. 14 Streetsboro, Ohio. Fr. Robert Pheiffer will officiate. Entombment will be at All Souls Cemetery 10366 Chardon Rd. Chardon, Ohio.
