Laura C. "Nancy" Harris AKA #1 Grammy went home to be with the Lord after 67 blessed years most of which were in Streetsboro. She passed unexpectedly on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at her home. She was born June 25, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late William and Laura Esther (Smith) Davis. Nancy moved to Streetsboro in 1973 working at KSU as well as Thompson Drug Store before her husband presented the opening of domestic engineer. Her passion was cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Enjoying countless games and planning trips to go to the beach! Survivors she leaves behind include her husband of 36 years Richard D. Harris, children Jay & Bruce Rosser, Darlene Chowning, Brigette & David Dostal, Joe & Meghan Harris, Paul & Laura Harris, Kimberlee Cottrill, Shalon & Tim Shackelford, 29 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Aunt Nancy to Bill, Doug, Shelly, Jay, Matt, Robert, Rocky, & Jack. Her little sister Vicky Dilbeck; older sister Barbara Davis. Her best friend Ann Shambaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her sister Esther Whittlesey. Calling hours will be Sunday October 11, 2015 from 2-5 PM at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 12, 2015 with burial following in Homeland Cemetery Rootstown, Ohio.
