Nancy A. Craven

Nancy Craven 84 of Kent passed away Thursday September 8, 2022 at her home with her loved ones around her. She was born September 7, 1938 in Ravenna, Ohio to Ervin and Jean (Kraft) Cole. Nancy was a graduate of Ravenna High School, class of 1957. She worked as a medical assistant at Ulrich professional group in Kent, then at Stamp and Scrap Haven in Ravenna. She attended the Ravenna First United Methodist Church of Ravenna. She married Tom Craven, May 19th, 1984. They enjoyed 38 years of traveling, dinners with friends, and many family events. Her true passion was her rubber stamps and card making, she loved her Stamp Club and all its many members. Survivors include her husband Tom, son Ron Laney of Nashville, daughter-in-law Marge Laney. Stepchildren Linda Manhey, James Craven, and Kathy Rhoads, grandchildren Ronny Laney, Ricky Laney, Danny Laney, Mike (laura) Adamski. 6 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patty Cole, many loved nieces, nephews and friends. She is proceeded in death by her parents Ervin and Jean Cole, Sister Marge (Bob) Ware, Brother Melvin Cole and her son Rick Laney. Memorial visitation will be held at Shorts Spicer Crislip funeral home in Ravenna on Tuesday Sep 20, 2022. Calling hours will be at 4:00 pm with the memorial service at 5:00pm. Condolences and memories of Nancy may be shared with her family at http://www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
