Nancy A. Smith 83 of Streetsboro passed away Tuesday January 12, 2016 at her home with those that loved her by her side after a long courageous fight with COPD. She was born march 14, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Donald and Edith (Bailey) Cushing. She has lived in Streetsboro most of her life and was an avid bingo player, seamstress and loved to bake, cook and spend time with her family. She was also a dog lover! At 72 Nancy got her first computer and surfed the internet and became quite good at it!
There wasn't a person alive that didn't love Nancy, she was known for her famous chocolate chip cookies and iced tea. There couldn't have been a more loving happy couple in the world as Whitey and Nancy! Nancy would do anything for anyone and never expect anything in return. She will be sadly missed my many family members and friends and her grand dogs who spent alot of their time sleeping with her on her bed.
Survivors include her children Keri Robey of Streetsboro, Thomas (Janice) Smith of Kent, Terrance Smith of Shalersville Twp. , grandchildren Lauren, Fred (Mikayla), Tawnya, Brad, Steven and Eric great granddaughter Liberty Ann Marie, loving sister Patricia Wenger of Brook park, and her 3 grand dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold T. "Whitey" Smith (1/12/16 would of been Nancy and Whitey's 64th anniversary) daughter-in-law Janice M. Smith and sister Marie Spagnola.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made by request of Nancy to Roses Rescue in Rootstown, Ohio.
We want to thank Grace Hospice for all your loving help and support, and love and a big huge thank you to Lucy Jury for all that she did for our mom and our family, we could not have done it without her.
