Nancy C. (Flowers) Jacobs

Nancy C. Jacobs 74 of Ravenna passed away Thursday November 27, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was born December 6, 1939 in Ravenna to the late Earl W. and Maude (Smith) Flowers.  Mrs. Jacobs has lived in Ravenna all her life, she graduated from Ravenna High School in 1957 and had worked for Dr. Archie Moore as a dental assistant and before retiring for Brookside.  She was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church and enjoyed driving around the streets od Ravenna.  She could put a smile on anybody's face and make them laugh.  Survivors include her daughter Amy (Matt) Michael, her grandsons Gage and Shane Michael, her sister Mary Hall of Ravenna and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mark Jacobs on August 10, 2013 and siblings Duane Flowers, Shirley Stone and Jean Bowen.  Calling hours will be 11:00 AM until time of funeral services  at 1:00 PM Monday December 1, 2014 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Gary Beck Officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  The family would especially like to thank the RMH 3 East staff, the Cleveland Clinic Hospital and Hospice for their wonderful  and tender care of her mother.  Condolences and memories may  shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "Senior Center of family and community services of portage county" .  Nancy will be forever missed my her family and friends.  She was known for her fun and her talks in their drive ways.
