Nicholas M. Farkash

Nicholas M. Farkash 51 of Rootstown, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Akron City Hospital.  He was born December 10, 1965 in Garfield Heights, Ohio to Gabriel N. and Gloria J. (Linatorski) Farkash. Nick was a 1984 graduate of Stow High School, a graduate of McKim Technical Institute and attended the University of Akron. Nicholas worked at NEOMED in facilities maintenance, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna, assistant Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 3556, volunteer soccer coach for Rootstown Soccer Club and Cleveland Select Soccer. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. He enjoyed projects, but looked forward to times of relaxation. Nick enjoyed working with the community youth, helping them to learn and develop skills in various activities such as soccer, scouts and baseball. He leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years Stephanie (Morris), sons Michael and Justin at home, his parents Gabriel and Gloria Farkash of Brimfield, sister Angela  "AJ" of Cuyahoga Falls and brother Bill of Akron. Memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
