Norma Jean Hinkle

Norma Jean Hinkle, 96 of Ravenna, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at the Heather Knoll Nursing Home in Tallmadge. Norma was born on May 30, 1930 to her late parents Alva B. and Paulien (Whittam) Rice. Norma was a retired secretary from the ODOT #4 in Ravenna and was a veteran of the US Army. She was a member of the Ravenna American Legion Post 331, the D.A.V. and the ladies Auxiliary of the Ravenna VFW Post 1055. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Mazzola and 2 grandchildren and is preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Charles Culp in 1957, Irvin Wagner in 1970, Charles Hinkle in 1979, long tome companion Russell Marris in 2009, her son Charles A. Wagner in 1970 and siblings Ruby Kaufman, Madge Peters, Hazel and James A Rice. Calling hours will be Tuesday August 11, 2026 from 10:00 Am until District 8 VFW Services at 10:45 and the funeral service will follow at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Burial with military honors by the US Army and the Ravenna VFW Post 1055 will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna.
