Orville D. Holt

Orville Dean Holt, 80 of Ravenna, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He was born October 28, 1940 in Wynona, OK to Andrew and Jessie Holt. A Ravenna resident since 1966, he served in the US Army in the Korean War. Dean retired from Ametek/Lamb Electric and was a long time member of the Ravenna First United Methodist Church. He and his late wife Donna were foster parents to many children over the years throughout the Portage County area. He is survived by his five children Robert Holt and Donald Holt both of Cleveland, Tami (Lenny) Sorboro of Kent, Michelle (Steve Kerns) Holt of Kent and Joe Holt of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and siblings Judy (George) Rogers, Linda Doolittle, Darlene (Mark) Burks, Dorothia Butler, Kenny (Natalie) Holt and Brian Holt. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna and bothers Andrew (Mick) Holt and Jearl Holt. Private family services will be held at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
