Owen Rose

Owen Rose 87 of Ravenna passed away Friday March 5, 2021 at his home.  On July 8, 1933 he was born in Pound, Virginia to the late William and Mary Jane (Bentley) Rose.  Mr. Rose  has lived in Ravenna the past seven years and had formerly lived in Streetsboro, Ohio.  In 1991 he retired from the GE  Plant in Cleveland where he worked as a dynometer tester. In his younger years Owen enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting. After retirement he was able to traveling the entire U.S. and he enjoyed woodworking.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Kathryn Rose in 2007, his daughters Wanda Rose Fleck, Mary Ann Dulzer, and his siblings by Paul, Earl & Billy Rose & Arlenia Pilkenton Cordelia Sowards and Jean Willis.  Survivors include his son James Rose, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and siblings  Jeffery Rose, Michael Rose, Noah Rose, Arnold Rose, Phyllis Slone, Maggie Balthis, Mallie Tibbs and his significant other Beverly Tackett.  Calling hours will be from 10:00 Am until time of funeral services at 11:00 on Thursday March 11, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Mr. Rose may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
