P. Douglas Boyer

P. Douglas Boyer, 66 of Stow passed away Thursday December 30, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.  On January 4, 1955 he was born in Butler, Pennsylvania to P. Daniel and Bonnie (Hilliard) Boyer.  Doug has lived  in Stow the past 32 years and was formerly of Macedonia.  He had worked in sales for the medical field most of his career and recently was the owner of Proforma Innovative Services franchise.  Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, P. Daniel and Bonnie Boyer of North Canton, his beloved wife of 40 years Barbara A. (Caskey) Boyer whom he married April 25, 1981, his loving children Derek (Halle) Boyer of Stow, Ashley (Claren) Boyer of Chicago, his grandchildren Sloane Eden Boyer, Nathaniel Colton Boyer and granddaughter on the way Ryen Avery Boyer, his sister Susan (Mark) Patterson and his nieces Laura and Erin Patterson.  He was preceded in death by his Grandparents and his mother in law Frances Caskey. Doug was a larger than life presence that loved his family, friends, music, telling jokes and volunteering at the PGA and Senior tournaments at Firestone to help raise money for NOGC.   In honoring Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place, A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  The family asks that memorial donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or NOGC (Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation at www.nogcf.com ).  Condolences may be left and memories may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
