Patricia Ann (Rogers) Woofter

Patricia Ann Woofter 79 of Ravenna, formerly of Hiram, died Monday, December 5, 2016. She was born January 14, 1937 in Grafton, WV to the late Robert D. and Ethel (Monroe) Rogers. She married Roy Woofter on July 26, 1958. Mrs. Woofter was a member of the Streetsboro Church of Christ, where she was active in the food pantry and a member of the Ravenna Senior Center. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her family and she loved cooking and baking. She also enjoyed visits from her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from Container Corporation where she worked as an assembler. Survivors include her daughters Donella (Eddie) Vanhorn of Garrettsville, Kim (Luke Simeon) Mate of Ravenna and Sherry (Matthew) Mate of Colebrook, Ohio, sons Darrell (Annette) Woofter of Cornelius, NC and Doug (Renee) Woofter and Brian (Amy) Woofter both of Ravenna, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sisters Roxie Dykes of Delaware and Bonnie Fitzgerald of Georgia and good friend Dayton Hickerson. She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Margaret, Thelma, Juanita, Loretta and Betty as well as her brother Jim. Calling hours will be from 4 - 8 PM Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at the funeral home with Ralph Price officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
