Patricia K. "Patty" Spencer

Patricia K. “Patty” Spencer, 64, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Patty was born on October 30, 1961, in Grafton, West Virginia.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Duckworth and Thelma Jean McKinney; her stepfather, Bill Beall, who raised her and was a father to her in every way; her son-in-law, Kelly Brewster; and her stepbrother, Randy Beall.

She leaves behind a family that adored her: her children, Jamie Brewster and Jeremy (Kristie) Spencer; her stepchildren, Joe and Brianna Mounts and their families; her beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Kyle, Nathan Brewster, and Preston Spencer; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kaylinn, and Adalynn. Patty is also survived by her loving companion and partner of 29 years, Frank Mounts, with whom she shared a life filled with deep happiness and cherished memories. She will be dearly missed by her siblings—Bill Duckworth, Wayne Beall, Jeff Beall, and Doris Kidd and many nieces and nephews along with a large extended family and countless dear friends.

A familiar and welcoming presence in her community, Patty served as a team lead at Walgreens in Ravenna and was an assistant manager at Ponderosa in Kent for many years.

Patty had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel at home. Positive, generous, and endlessly hospitable, her home was the heart of the family—a place for warm laughter, memorable get-togethers, and sunny afternoons around the pool. She expressed her love through food, whether hosting a feast around her table, sending home-cooked meals with loved ones, or delivering comfort to someone in need. A delicious meal was Patty’s way of saying, “I love you, and I’m taking care of you.”

With her quick wit, playful humor, and listening ear, Patty was a pillar of strength and joy. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, partner, confidante, and friend who was always there when it mattered most.
