Patricia Rae Ziegler

Patricia Rae Ziegler, 85 of Ravenna and Rootstown, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Pavilions of Stow. Patricia was born on November 14, 1940, in Ravenna to her late parents Bernard J. and Ruth P. (Semler) Strickland. She had worked as a payroll clerk, retiring from ODOT #4, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna. Patricia loved to sew and paint, and also loved traveling with her late husband to Europe and Hawaii. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Ziegler, her children Thomas A. Scaggs and Rebecca Ann Grant, and her brother Lawrence A. Strickland. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law Erin M. Scaggs and sister Linda M. Speck, step-children Donald E. Ziegler, Nancy Atkinson, Peggy Valdez, and Kenneth Ziegler, nephew Allen Strickling, and niece Cynthia Wakefield. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
