Patti A (Courson) Hicks

Patti A. Hicks, our beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.  On July 8, 1959, Patti was born to the late Edwin and Mildred (Hicks) Courson in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.  As a lifelong Ravenna resident, she had worked for RC Cook Insurance for over 19 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. The Ravenna community lost a great person as Patti was a past president of the Ravenna Rotary, involved with the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce, the Ravenna Balloon Affair, and she and Duane were frequent volunteers at the Haven of Portage County.  She leaves her husband of 40 years, Duane M. Hicks, whom she married June 16, 1984, her children Brittni A. Hicks and Micheal S. Hicks, and her brother Steve (Joan) Courson to cherish her memory.  In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.  To honor her memory, the family request donations in Patti's name be sent to the Ravenna Rotary Scholarship Fund, PO Box 9 Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Condolences and memories of Patti, may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.  A celebration of life service will be Sunday October 6, 2024 from 2 to 5 pm at the Ravenna Elks Club.
