Paul E. Hickman

Paul E. Hickman 87 of Rootstown died Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born April 10, 1927 in Ravenna, OH to Boyd and Nina (Davis) Hickman. A Rootstown resident for the past 55 years, Paul retired as a machinist from Colonial Machine after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Edinburg United Church of Christ and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and traveling. Survivors include his sister Eileen Abel Errickson, sisters in law Sally (Howard) Harris, Pat Stanford, JoAnn (Richard) Corn and Rose Bantz, brothers in law Jack Ferguson and Larry (Roma) Bantz, several nieces and nephews and good friend Betty Hollow. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years Betty Hickman in June of 2012, sister Vivian Ferguson, 2 infant brothers, brothers in law Blanton Abel, Harry Errickson, Ted Bantz and Don Bantz. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Timothy Paroz officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
