Paul David Quatkemeyer, 65 of Brimfield passed away Monday February 24, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. He was born August 27, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Thomas and Helen (Frodge) Quatkemeyer. He has lived in Brimfield the past 32 years and was a veteran of the US Air Force serving his country in Vietnam. Mr. Quatkemeyer retired from Kennametal in Solon, where he worked in Maintenance. One of his favorite hobbies was that he enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife Sharline (Kempf) Quatkemeyer whom he married March 27, 1970, his children Thomas (Toni Ervin) Quatkemeyer of Troy, John (Rachel) Quatkemeyer of Ravenna, Michelle (Thomas) Brode of Ravenna, Mellisa (Paul) Salzgeber of Akron, his grandhildren Cory, Rebecca, Christopher, Breah, Amanda, Joseph, Teddy, Isabella, Gavin and his great grandchild Carson. Also surviving are his sisters Barbara Gleason, Jane Schank and Jean Fleig (the Snoop Sisters) all of Cincinnati. Memorial calling hours will be Sunday March 9, 2014 from 6:00 PM until time of Memorial services at 7:00 Pm at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Bill Snyder officiating. Entombment with military honors will take place 11:00 AM Monday March 10, 2014 at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.
