Pauline Bogle 86 of Ravenna died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born March 23, 1924 in Madison County, NC to the late Flenor and Lottie(Treadway) Cutshall. Mrs. Bogle had lived in Asheville, NC, Washington DC, Austell and Augusta, GA, Rogers, AR, Toledo, OH, Cleveland, OH and Freedom Township, OH before retiring to Ravenna, OH 11 years ago. She loved to travel and planted hundreds of spring bulbs everywhere she went. In high school in North Carolina, she played on the state championship girls basketball team two years in a row. Pauline worked at the Pentagon in Washington DC as a decoder and had decoded messages for General MacArthur, she then worked as a Librarian for Cleveland State University. Survivors include her daughters Barbara Glover of Sarasota, FL and Shirley (Jim) Sorrells of Crystal River, FL, son Ray (Sue) Mischka of Ravenna, OH, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Joyce Foxhuber and Brenda Mackey, son Ron Garren and brothers and sisters. Memorial calling hours will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2010 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home 141 N. Meridian Street, Ravenna, OH 44266. Private burial will take place at a later date.
