Peggy L. (Barley) Hatfield

Peggy L. Hatfield, 67, of  Ravenna, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1944 in Miami, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Bonita (Snodgrass) Barley. Peggy was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William "Bill" Hatfield, of Ravenna; daughter, Michele (Brian) Bielinsky; two granddaughters, Alexandria and Alyssa: sister -in-law, Betty (Steve) Stagno of California; brother-in-law, Rodie Hatfield of Roanoke, Virginia; beloved dog, Rocky; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Lena Basham and brothers, Charles and William Barley. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. Joan of arc Church, Streetsboro. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu  of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693-5120.
