Peter P. "Pete" Lorenz

Peter ( Pete) Lorenz passed away on March 29, 2025. He was born November 1, 1948 in Buffalo, New York to Robert August Lorenz and Randi Rentsch Lorenz.  He served in the U.S. Navy and then worked in construction while attending college and, later on, law school. He graduated from Kent State University with a B.A. degree in 1974 and from Akron Law School in 1999. He served as an Attorney in Ravenna for many years until his retirement.  Peter loved the outdoors, fishing, scuba diving, all kinds of construction projects, strong coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

To treasure his memory, he leaves his devoted wife Judith (Judy) Stephens-Lorenz of Ravenna, son Christopher Lorenz, daughter-in law Julie and grandson Nathan all of Naples, Florida; sister Linda Anderson of Twinsburg, Ohio; brother Walter Lorenz (Mynda) of  Middleville, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, former wife Lenora Lorenz, and sister Caroline Parisi.

Peter’s unique, faith- filled, hard- working and fun- loving personality touched all who knew him; both young and old treasured his mentorship and friendship.
