Peter Radjenovich, 75, of Ravenna, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at his Ohio residence. He was born on August 1, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Luka Radjenovich and Smilja (Sylvia) Radjenovich (née Gacesa). After graduating from James H. Bowen High School in June 1968 and earning a diploma from Greer Technical Institute in March 1970, Peter served in the U.S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged, then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1972.
After relocating to Arizona, Peter became a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Eastern Orthodox Church in Phoenix, Arizona and worked briefly at Mobil Oil before commencing a twenty-six-year career at Motorola. Peter earned numerous awards and completed an Associate of Arts degree at Scottsdale Community College in 1980 while working his way from Motorola’s factory floor to positions as a project manager and bidding and estimation specialist. Following his retirement from Motorola in 1998, Peter became a senior project manager at Construction Diagnostics and oversaw several major construction projects (including at two hospitals) before retiring in 2005.
During his retirement, Peter divided his time between Arizona and Ohio and became a regular parishioner of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore, Ohio. He loved singing in various choirs when he was on the road or vacationing. Peter was a lifelong member of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (where he served as the treasurer of the Phoenix chapter for many years) and a longtime member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America.
Peter is survived by his beloved Patricia Ann Starkey, his children, Luka Radjenovich and Paraskeva (James) Ripley (née Radjenovich), his grandson, Zane Ripley, his sister, Helen Yarbrough (née Radjenovich), his nephew Mark (Tina)Yarbrough and their children Adrian, Thomas and Kaitlyn, niece Debra Oliver and her children, Corey (Abby) Adams and their children Hendrixx and Atticus and Kenneth Oliver, his “adopted daughter” Patricia Saillant and grandson Christopher (Danielle) Saillant and great grandchildren, Ryder, Estelle and Harley Ruiz Valora and many relatives and friends.
Visitation is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 1, 2025 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church (755 South Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio, 44260) between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Father Nicholas Wyslutsky will officiate a memorial service following visitation. Peter’s funeral service will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Sts. Peter and Paul Eastern Orthodox Church (1614 East Monte Vista Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85006). There will be a viewing at 9:00 a.m. before the funeral service begins at 10:00 with Father Mikel Bock officiating. Following the funeral, entombment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to either Orthodox Church.
